I finally went to the podiatrist. Just what I thought, it is plantar fasciitis. I have exercises to do and an inflammatory medicine to take and am supposed to wear shoes all the time unless in the shower or in bed. And then it should heal. The doctor would like a "20-30% improvement within the next two weeks" and I didn't really know how that would be measured, but he says by how I react to his pushing on my heel for one thing. And he said that I will be able to easily tell if it's improving day to day.
I just know I really want to get back to Zumba.
