Wow, did we end up with some snow today. I measured it at 10 inches this morning and it kept on falling for at least another two inches. A foot of snow—that hasn’t happened here for awhile! Luckily, it was very light and dry and fluffy snow.
It was a day of lots of shoveling.
Not only did we do ours, we went over to clear our neighbors’ that happen to have, I swear, the steepest, longest drive in Madison County. And the husband just had hernia surgery, ouch.
The kids enjoyed some sledding, too, on that same steep and long driveway and I just have to wonder how many calories Sam burned just navigating his way through the snow, considering it was basically up to his crotch. That is some hard work! And the little munchkin never walked in someone else’s tracks which would help to make it a bit easier.
Gary drove Jack into town for a blood test. It was nothing that had to be done today, but with Jack off school for the snow day, it seemed like a good time.
Well, other than the snow was up to Gary’s truck’s frame and I wasn’t sure if he’d get down the drive.
He did.
