Day#133

My goal for Sunday was for C and I to visit every TJMaxx in the StL area, minus Fairview since we've been there many times. We had six to check out and we made it to only one, Kirkwood, until she was Maxxed out and needed more of a mall experience.

But never fear, I *will* try it again. But now it will probably just be the remaining five.

Day#132

How to turn socks with white logo into all black ones and then how to remove the Sharpie stain from the counter.

Day#131

Look what I found. Funny that they are placed consecutively. And btw, where's Grant?

Day#130

World's largest catsup bottle--still for sale!

Day#129

I skipped yoga today since we were having the sub with the most grating loud voice and instead had my own peaceful time spending the day looking in stores. I remember when I was a kid and we'd be out as four generations shopping, my grandma had a saying about my great-grandma and my mom: "Well, you can always find them in the rugs or flowers."

My weaknesses are the glassware and wood cutting boards.

Day#128

Girl on trampoline as usual

Day#127

So far this week, I've made a peach pie and a strawberry pie. Peach is long gone. Strawberry is almost.

Day#126

Since I'd spent the day with the younger two, I wanted an outing with Jack that evening, just him and me. We decided to go to Waffle House and it was so good. Helps that I love hash browns. His eyes were incredibly blue in this end-of-day lighting, so I had to take his picture. Then we went to Rural King and got him a new western shirt and belt and me some maple nut goodies. Every once in awhile we indulge so extravagantly.

Day#125

Gary and Grant were off on a camp out and Jack stayed home while I took Sam and Sis to the City Museum. It was crowded but I love that place. The kids do, too. It's really for anyone of any age.

Day#124

Friday night we created some kitchen chemistry, making homemade bath bombs. We have decided buying them at the store is a whole lot easier and possibly cheaper. Tip: don't use the Martha Stewart recipe.

Day#123

These shots are my locked screen and wallpaper now. They are internet pics since it's a place I've never been, Salton Sea in California. The pics came from an article I read; it's got an interesting history for sure. Just the latest add to my list of places I'd like to go see.

Day#122

Same thing for Miss Sis

Day#121

Too cheap to buy the spring school pictures although Sam's was very good, so I took a picture of the picture.

Day#120

A bit delayed here but Gary organized Pi Day at work last week. We got up super early and baked a blueberry pie and a banana pie that he took in, and then I made a lemon meringue so those of us at home wouldn't feel deprived and could celebrate, too. He said the contest winner at work recited the digits to 26 or 27 places.

I knew it started with a 3.1.

Day#119

We attended Sam's blue and gold Cub Scout banquet. We've spanned ten years going to these. Our first one was Jack's in 2005, and next year will be our last one when Sam crosses over to Boy Scouts.

Day#118

A date night for us, in search of StL's best Cuban sandwich and an evening at the CasaLoma Ballroom dancing. Which was fun until a lady approached and asked if we were new to dancing and offered a business card for dance lessons. I didn't tell her, but geez, we had watched a YouTube tutorial one afternoon. But hint taken; we go to our first dance lesson next Sunday night.

Day#117

It's no tropical paradise but not too bad for a Glen sunset

Day#116

Took C and her friend to the mall

Day#115

Forgot my yoga gloves so repurposed the yoga socks

Day#114

Isn't the world such a confusing place?!

Day#113

I've started doing these black ink drawings called Zentangles. I find it really fun, and know it especially would be if I could spend more time at it. I'm feeling like such a beginner but that's cool. I, in general, enjoy the feeling that I can improve at things and develop further. And when that happens, I don't know, it's good, kinda feels like a pat on the back.

Like today, I got into wheel pose at yoga for the first time. It's really just like coming up into a kid's back bend, but it's something I found hard and impossible to do when I first tried a few weeks ago and didn't really think I ever could get it, but then surprisingly today, it happened and I feel great. I'm getting tougher and stronger!

Day#112

This week the kids have had PARCC testing at school. Sam's school had a different theme for each day. This day was "Don't Sweat It."

Day#111

This was from over a week ago. Grandma had flown in from Arizona, Grandpa was here to drive her home, and we had two kinds of chili for supper and then Ross set up this shot.
