One morning I noticed how heavy Sam’s backpack was.  His teacher makes them bring home whatever books they might need to do homework whether the homework is already done or not, so I am used to it being heavy almost everyday.  But this one morning I could tell it was extra heavy.  Unzipped it and found his leather jacket, but the real heavy thing was the 2 lb. plastic container of hair gel he’d been lugging around.

At Wendy’s some day when the big boys were off camping.  We go wild when they are gone.

Speaking of leather jacket, I found two at a really awesome price and brought them home for the boys.  One son tried his one and loved it.  Look, a smile!

And one boy wouldn’t even try his on so back to the store it went.  : (  Same boy that isn’t too cooperative posing for pictures, either.  Hmm, where is he amongst the phone pics?

This is the morning routine for Grant on the carpool weeks that I don’t drive.  He pulls up a dining room chair to the front door.  And walks out and leaves it there every time.  But I don’t get too mad because he lets me take his picture.

The day the camel bit Caroline’s back….

at Paris’ birthday party.

I am not kidding.

(I feel like I have to add that a lot.)

Caroline’s last band concert.  Literally her last.  She has decided to part ways with the flute.

Jack’s project, rehabbing the base unit CB I grew up with on our kitchen counter in the 70’s.  His friends have already given him a handle and it is, I am not kidding, BeanDip.

Mine was DoubleD back in the day.  I had to text my oldest childhood friend Danny to remind me of his because I could not remember it for the life of me.  He wouldn’t tell me.  I texted him two more times begging and finally he gave in:

BabyCoonHunter.

And not as in hunting baby coons….his dad was DaddyCoonHunter, his mom was MamaCoonHunter. He was ten years old and the whole community called him BabyCoonHunter.

I guess I wouldn’t want someone to dredge that up either.

After letting his laundry pile up a little, this was taken the day I noticed Sam had a combination of twelve pairs of jeans or shorts coming through the wash (so nearly two weeks of laundry).

And only two pairs of underwear.  You do the math.

Have a great day!
