Day#190

Vacation day 3

Gary and C woke up early and went out for a run around our North Austin neighborhood. I slept until 8 am when Gary came back home, excited to get back to a yard sale he'd seen.  We spotted a motorcycle for sale that he had to look at too.  At the yard sale, we found some phone cases and kid books and a Plano tactical tub/tote that Gary was very pleased to get. That's the reason he wanted to return there so bad.

After fixing breakfast, we all headed out to Lake Travis which was only 15 minutes away, spending some time at the Mansfield Dam which was cool. The two youngest really wanted a swimming beach but we only found a rocky shore and not the cleanest water. A fisherman next to us had just seen a foot long centipede but we couldn't find it amongst the big rocks. I can't imagine what that would've looked like really but wished I had seen it.  Lake Travis is now 68% full after the recent crazy amounts of rain following a three year drought. There were sailboats, motorboats and jet skis going around, and lots of families out enjoying the beautiful day.
